The Academy Nursery School follows the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS). The EYFS comprises of 7 areas of learning which provide a holistic and overarching approach to a child’s all-round development.
Our Curriculum
Children will spend their time with us exploring a variety of resources and activities that will stimulate their development in all areas of learning. Children will develop independence and resilience skills, as well as developing social competency and perseverance.
We want our children to be confident and curious and we will provide opportunities to promote these attributes. Strong relationships with their teachers and classmates will support their emotional well-being and also develop their communication and language skills. Children will enjoy additional classes such as gymnastics, dance, music and languages to ensure development of their physical skills, as well as becoming well rounded individuals. The experiences we offer help advance strong foundations and dispositions for learning, all before starting school.
